Learning to make music
Start with the music you want to make.
Bring your curiosity, your experience, and the songs you would love to learn. Whether you are starting from the basics or exploring a new musical skill, talk with Charlie about what you want to work on. The first step is simply to reach out.

Beginner guitar and piano
Start with chords and rhythms, then put them into practice with songs. Tell Charlie which instrument interests you and whether you have played before.
Singing and accompaniment
Explore pitch, phrasing, and accompanying yourself as you sing. Share the songs you would like to work on and what you hope to develop in your voice.
Writing your own songs
Give your ideas a musical starting point. Talk with Charlie about lyrics, melody, and how the parts of a song come together.
